Christmas, Indiana, New Years

It has been a long time since I have posted and I apologize! we have been all over the place! I started this draft, I dont' know- 3 weeks ago...and never posted!
We spent Christmas on Saturday the 22nd with my parents, Christmas in North Beach on Christmas day, and went to Indiana the 28th-30th for a friends' wedding. Last night for New years we went to another couple's house and played games and got in their hot tub. It was a wonderfully relaxing evening, which was just what we needed. No crazy parties, staying up to all hours of the night, which I guess is a sign that we are getting older :)

I finished school in mid-december and have enjoyed not having to study! I finished the semester with a 3.8 and I was ecstatic about that! I got moved into a management position at Aflac with 3 other interns from the fall. We got to plan and decorate the "intern" office and will be managing the 25 interns that are supposed to come in the spring. I will be crazy busy but it will be fun because I get along with the others really well. I have been traveling across the bridge a little too much than I anticipated but hopefully that will stop after school starts.

Bryan and I had a great Christmas with my family. We missed Josh and Tiffany but we hear they had a good Christmas too.
Bryan worked Christmas Eve, then we hopped in the car and drove to his parents for their church's Christmas Eve service. We spent Christmas morning with them and went over to his grandparents for dinner. All in all- it was a wonderful year with lots of visiting.

During the school breaks I always anticipate that I am going to get a ton of stuff done. What happens? Most of it gets pushed back but a few get accomplished.
1. I rearranged our office- and it works a lot better!
2. I spent time with family- which is really important because Sarah is moving to Silver Spring!
3. I learned how to take care of my husband!
The 3rd one is the one I want to talk about. Bryan got his wisdom teeth out last friday and I can honestly tell you that I was more nervous than he was. He didn't know what to expect, but I have already gotten mine out. I had the worst experience ever with dry socket and the whole nine yards! I guess I was nervous because it was the first time that I was actually responsible for taking care of someone after a surgery. I had watched my mom do it a million times but never was I the person filling the prescriptions, giving the medicine, and making the milkshakes. THe first day was fine- Bryan did great and slept most of the day; though, the doctor did say that they had a very hard time with the last tooth. It wouldn't come out so they had to really force it out. So, when we went to bed friday I thought the worst was over. I was wrong. Bryan woke up on Saturday morning needing his medicine- so I made him breakfast and gave it to him. But 20 minutes later he was saying that his stomach hurt and he was dizzy. Next thing I know he is in the bathroom throwing up--- ALOT!
That was my fear- I don't know what to do when that happens! But after he said I feel great!
Well, I had to go practice for the Rock and Roll Revival Alumni Show so he said he was fine and I left for a few hours. By the time I got home it was not a pretty sight. I have never seen Bryan in so much pain. Of course it was snowing and I didn't know what to do. I made him some food and gave him his medicine. Of course he threw it up again.

I quickly got on the phone and called the doctor. He gave Bryan a new pain killer but that hour of waiting for the medicine was the worst thing in the entire world. I would have done ANYTHING to take the pain away from Bryan. But there was nothing I could do but sit with him. My mom got the medicine for us and everything was fine after that! But I learned to be a caregiver this week, to really put Bryan before myself. I should have never left him, and I learned what it really means "in sickness and in health."
