Ready or not...

On thursday our summer staff come! CRAZY! We have had 9 months to prepare for the summer and yet, sometimes I wonder if we are really ready? We have had a shortage of summer staff for 1st session and I am still down 1 person. At this point Bryan and I both have 4 college students coming to work on our teams. We are excited to hear their testimonies and live deeply with them for the next month.

We get to read their applications and if anything resounds from their words, they are hungry. They want to know Christ deeper and feel him nearer and they will. We have the opportunity to dive into the Word with them and have devotions daily. These college students get to watch campers walk off buses and hear about Jesus who personally loves each and every one of them. Lives change at Young Life camp. Distractions are gone. Smiles appear and walls come down. And what is awesome is that we are a part of it. We get to smile and greet them when they come to the swing or the ridge runners. We may not hear their full stories but we get to be there when at the end of the week at the say-so they stand up and say they gave their life to Christ. Is there really anything sweeter than hearing those words?

To say that I am excited about our summer season would be an understatement. Bryan and I get to hang out with college, highschool, and middle school students all day.
