no more procrastinating

This week Peanut has been really active...I have actually seen him move with my eyes. It might have happened sooner if I had the time to stop and watch...

Things have finally slowed down some at work which left time during business hours to thing about maternity leave, day care, etc. I finally called the benefits department to ask how it all works and am getting really excited! I don't want to say that I haven't been excited but I have just enjoyed each week of pregnancy trying not to get too ahead of myself. I sat down with my boss and talked over his expectations of my leave, etc. I am so relieved that he said I could play it by ear as to how long I want to take. It is such a hard decision to make because my plan is to work all the way up to my due date, but you just never know what will happen! Today they were joking about my water breaking at work and I didn't laugh. I know I would be mortified if that happened...

We bought a crib this week! They had a really nice convertible crib on sale at Target and with the purchase you got a free mattress so Bryan and I decided to go for it! It is now in the box in our dining room and will probably stay there for at least another two months :)

We also went shopping for carpet for our master bedroom and left purchasing a new washer and dryer. Our dryer broke a few months ago and we have been using a rack. With a baby on the way, we knew we would need one. I happened to look at the appliance section and they were having awesome deals! We got an Energy Star rated GE washer and a dryer to match! SO EXCITED! They get delivered on Saturday and our ancient ones will be hauled away! Goodbye to the old and hello to the new!

I'm excited to take my 24 week picture this week! All of our nurses get so excited to comment on the belly that has been hiding behind my desk so there is baby talk galore! I love it! So far I have been feeling great, other than the occasional sore days when I do too much. All in all I have to say that I love being pregnant now that I am out of the 1st trimester!

Sounds like you have made a lot of progress on the house. Peanut is making progress, too!
