CIO - Day 2

So yesterday was sunday and the day before was...j/k i'm not Rebecca Black and have seen enough posts about that on FB

Yesterday morning Micah cried in his crib until his next feeding - not constant crying but he never went to sleep. I fed him right before we left for church and he was asleep in my arms before the first song. I held him through the whole service and through the potluck after church. I finally had to wake him up to eat when we got home. He was sleepy after all that crying.

But he only cried a little on the next nap and never cried last night when we put him down. SUCCESS!

I know that he is still not completely ready to self soothe without any crying and it takes time but it feels so good when you can breathe a sigh of relief that you won't hear crying.

I also said THE most embarrassing thing today when shopping with my mom in Old Navy. I can't believe I am even sharing it but it was ridiculous stupid and hysterical at the same time.

Post Cereal and Old Navy have some sort of coupon thing going on so they had free samples of small cereal boxes at the register. My mom got really excited because it was her favorite cereal. The Manager came up and gave her a bag of samples, then walked away.

Then as we were shopping, my mom saw him again and said "Thanks again!" He said, "Yeah that will give you a few breakfasts but I can't supply any milk" and pointed to the stroller.

I responded, "Oh I got that covered."

When he walked away, my mom looked at me and started laughing. I said, "What?" She said, "Elise, he meant for the cereal." AHH!!! I was so embarrassed...he was pointing at the bag of cereal...not Micah.

I wanted to run for the door...
