Day 3

Today is Day 3 of journaling and trying to REALLY get on a schedule. Prior to that, we were busy and I wanted to be on the go. Now, with 2 weeks left before returning to work, I am determined to enjoy my house and my wonderful baby.

I must apologize for yesterday...sorry to be such a debbie downer. Micah is a wonderful baby and brings SO much joy to Bryan and I. His noises, his smiles, his funny faces and of course his tooting always make us laugh :)

A blog was recommended to me, and I finally had a chance to check it out yesterday. I found some really good insight and felt refreshed to start today with a fresh outlook on scheduling. It probably helped that Micah went back to his "normal" night schedule - he nursed at 9:30 and 2:00 and then got up at 6:00 AM. I am trying to make 7:00 his normal wake time so he woke up again at 7:00 and I fed him again.

This morning, Micah was very sleepy so we sat on the couch and dozed back off together after his feeding. At 9:30 right on the dot, he ate again. An hour later, I swaddled him and sat with him in the rocker. I read that on babywisemom.com. I had been cradling him and rocking him which made him cry after a few minutes. So we sat, he relaxed and I put him in the crib. He started whining a few minutes later because he lost his pacifier but all it took was me going in 2 times, giving him his pacifier, rubbing his forehead, and he was out.

At 12:00, he nursed and we had tummy time for a few minutes, and I saw a yawn. I took him upstairs, swaddled him, and did the same thing as this morning. I only had to go back into the nursery once to give him his pacifier.

It is 2:45 and I have another 15 minutes of ME time :) I am so refreshed!
