1 Timothy 4:12 --Feeling Challenged
I love feeling challenged after hearing a passage of scripture and the message that someone has prepared. That someone last night was none other than erin morris. The past few weeks we have tried to challenge our campaigners at YL to dig deeper in their relationship with Christ. This week erin and joey explained to them the way they can live as a Christian and show Christ in their lives. I love that I get so much out of the teachings and feel challenged to live as Christ lived.
1 Timothy 4:12
Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
The one that really got me was in speech. Have you ever said something and wished you could retract your words? I feel like this all the time! I wish there was a filter on my words. But I think that there is- the Scripture! The more I spend time with Jesus- I feel that there is a natural filter on my words and my life. When I miss a few days, I feel the effects!
1 Timothy 4 goes on to say:
v.15
Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.
v.16
Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.
That is my prayer - that I would set an example with my life - that others would see Christ in me.

The Lord is showing me that the filter is our heart. You have it right, the more time we spend with Him letting His Word transform our hearts and the more we take every thought captive the more filtered our words are. So good.
Oh, and another key is just speaking less words and listening more.
PaPa & I are so proud of you both.Love ya!
It is so good to hear that you guys are doing so well and are so excited about what the Lord is going to do in your lives in the coming year. Sorry we weren't able to come to your going away party, but we wish we could have been there!
Love you!
