a day off!

Today I had no plans. I don't have to work but yes, i have plenty to do. I finally posted all my pictures on facebook from YL camp, I finished my 2nd book in Beverly Lewis' "Annie's People" series, and I have finally updated the blog.
And doesn't Bryan look handsome in that picture? YES!

Lately Bryan and I have been spending time planning out our cross country road trip and we are ecstatic! So far these are the places on our list:

1. Cincinnati, Ohio -Bryan's Uncle Tommy
2. Fayetteville, Arkansas - Jeff and Joy Meekins
3. Garland, Texas - Grandmother and Papa Mitchell (hopefully more family too!)
4. Edmond, Oklahoma - Brian and Natalie Choate and Baby Kaley!
5. Westcliffe, Colorado - Yes I will climb my first 14,000 ft. mountain!
6. Bryce Canyon, Utah
7. Zion National Park, Utah
8. Arches National Park, Utah?
9. Grand Canyon NP, Arizona
10. Yosemite NP, California
11. Redwood NP, California
12. Crater Lake NP, Oregon
13. Antelope, Oregon - Wildhorse Canyon

Hopefully we can hit all of these in the time we have. This will be the first time I will see the Rocky Mountains! We are so excited to finally take a real vacation- even if that means camping out. I like to think that I am not high maintenance but the truth is- I am not completely outdoorsy either. No I don't have to get a mani-pedi every month, or even get my hair done but every 4 months or so but I do enjoy a nice long shower and my straightener. I will surely miss those 2 things...

Oh and I just found out the other day that it is 45 minutes to cell phone service from the camp. Life sure will be different! So starting October 1 or before neither of us will have cell phones. Whats the use if we can't use them? We might as well save that money. So we can be contacted through email.

And, yes, I am something like you, not earthy but not totally "Hilton" either. I long to be Hiltonish but God won't let me. hehe

Your trip across the states sounds great, as does your trip thru the scriptures. We are looking forward to your visit in Garland. Grandmother & PaPa
