Monday morning traditions
First of all, I'm sorry that I am a terrible blogger. I feel like I have nothing interesting to write about, but really I just don't take the time to update the blog. So, I'm sorry.
This tradition goes back to April 1st..well, actually March 31st when Bryan gave me my birthday presents. He was so excited about them that he couldn't wait one more day to give them to me! It was adorable...oh how I love him! So he gave me a professional waffle maker and a mixer with a stand. Such great presents!
Which brings me to our monday (our saturday) morning traditions:
1. Sleep in until at least 9 - well at least stay in bed until then. I have to say something about this tradition. It has been a tradition for many couples we know; however, we never knew what it was like until moving to Oregon. This is the first time in our married life that we have been able to enjoy mornings together without having to go to work or church. I love lazy mornings!
2. Make waffles and coffee. Yummy! Yesterday morning I made blueberry waffles and they were amazing!
3. Listen to the Peasant Princess podcast from Mars Hill Church in Seattle, WA. This series is on Song of Songs and has been quite popular here at the camp. I have not listen to any other sermons from Pastor Mark Driscoll but have thoroughly enjoyed his insight into love and marriage. This has brought up great conversations between Bryan and I, and I would recommend it to married couples and singles alike. One more thing, it has been 80 degrees here the past 3 days!!!!!! We went fishing, boating, swimming (Bryan did) out at a reservoir yesterday and it was great!
oh yeah- we spent Easter in Canada at Malibu Club and then 2 days in Seattle for vacation. Pictures to follow!
